Hello folks; I purchased a trombone mouthpiece from Giddings and Webster. It arrived today, Mon. , and I say to you all, "WOW". The steel makes such a difference that I may retire all of my brass mouthpieces. After extensive study of all offerings, I chose the Barber model. Great choice! The sound is fantastic with seemingly less effort needed. The service was excellent, and when I called, Ivan himself answered the phone. The mouthpiece was shipped in a beautiful protective pouch inside of a pouch with the G & W logo. I am extremely well pleased with my purchase. And now, a little about me: I am 53 years old and began playing trombone at age 49: not a pro by any means, but it has become the love of my life and I try to play every day. I've experimented with several mouthpieces searching for just the right thing, and although one may need different for varied settings, i.e. lead, choir, orchestra, etc, I may have found my piece. My thanks. Chris W.

Hi, Ivan!
I feel I have finally reached a comfortable amount of time to give an assessment of what your Mouthpieces have done for me and my playing.
Firstly, I'd like to state that for most of my career my wallet has never allowed me to be much of a 'gear head:' although I've tried numerous mouthpieces over the past 33 years, I've mainly played one model on my CC tubas since 1991 (Perantucci PT-50 and it's beefier twin 50+). So, when I reached an impasse with my current horn, I finally took the plunge and made my first significant change in over two decades by purchasing your Roland Szentpali models for both CC and F. The first thing I noticed was the consistency in feel between the mouthpieces from horn to horn. Parity is of the utmost importance to me when switching between equipment, and these mouthpieces make this transition a seamless pleasure. I'm also very impressed with the stainless steel construction and the mouth feel this provides me.
I plan on the purchase of a bass trombone in the very near future, and you can count on that mouthpiece becoming a Giddings.
Keep up the stellar work, and thanks for serving the brass community so very well by providing such a wonderful product
Best,
Allen Carter

I happily tried my first Giddings mouthpiece in 2012. The concept of stainless steel intrigued me. Once I purchased my first, I have played on no other mouthpieces except Giddings. The clarity of tone, ease of response, projection, facility of articulation, and even my technique are all superior with Giddings mouthpieces! His custom work is outstanding, and I now have a Giddings for every occasion. (Almost--I keep finding more occasions...)

We use the safest materials around. Our mouthpieces have no plating and are made of materials that have zero lead in them. The plating process involves numerous chemicals and heavy metals that eventually end up in our environment. With Giddings mouthpieces you not only give yourself the safest choice, but you save our environment from more chemicals.

When the Boreas first touched my chops, the first thing I noticed was the nice smooth feeling it gave. After playing a few notes it continued feeling more and more contortable. In my neverending search for the perfect ambouchure I myself have some points that are very important. The Boreas gives me the big and broad sound in the middle and lower register and the brilliant sound in the high register, wich I find the most important as Principal trombone. It gives me the opportunity to differentiate in articulation and dynamics.
The mouthpiece matches perfectly with my Hans Kromat trombone.
Very happy with my purchase!

I enjoyed the complete process from ordering, shipping and then receiving the most amazing mouthpiece I have ever played.
I ordered the Satin Titanium 3 GW Helios Trumpet Mouthpiece Rim Diameter 16.50mm, .660 inches with a Deep Cup.
Even though it has only been two days playing my new mouthpiece the comfort and feel is indescribable.

My Giddings mouthpiece contains all the elements I want in a mouthpiece. The color of the overtones, the consistency, the tone that it brings to my horn, the clarity, and the comfortable rim is everything I could want. Ivan Giddings is a master craftsmen and mouthpiece guru. I love my GWC-100. I'm happy to be with this wonderful company!

As an artist that performs in a wide variety of styles and settings, having the right equipment for the job at hand has always been extremely important to me. With Ivan Giddings' incredible designs I have finally found a line of mouthpieces that match my needs- whether I am playing tenor or bass trombone, as a soloist, in an orchestra, chamber group, commercial group or in the studio, these mouthpieces are up for providing the flexibility that my career demands, with no compromise at all. Also, stainless steel is the real deal! It feels better on my face and responds faster than any other mouthpiece I have tried. Bravo Ivan on your amazing work!In these few weeks I really have been able to put the TZ-103 through a lot of trials and different styles. I am happy with it, and look forward to using it for a long time. Thanks for everything Ivan, and looking forward to working with you!
